Learning To Apply The Keywords
In these sections, we are honing our skills in incorporating the key terms for the individual elements in a horoscope. It’s crucial to note that these isolated snippets should not be relied upon as gospel truth in a genuine horoscope reading. The Houses play a significant role in the overall interpretation and it’s necessary to consider the aspects and sign rulers to obtain an accurate representation.
Using This Information With Care
If this information were taken at face value and incorporated into a horoscope, it would likely result in conflicting or even contradictory interpretations. Some of the information may conflict or even oppose each other.
Contradictions
For example, the sun in Aries could indicate that you are an independent individual with a strong focus on action and an inclination towards being a trailblazer. You may not be particularly emotive and could even seem aloof at times, as you tend to act impulsively and think later.
On the other hand, Mars in Cancer could suggest that your actions are driven by your emotions, and your home and childhood experiences have a profound influence on you. You may see yourself as introverted and emotionally sensitive, and may retreat when feeling overwhelmed.
Isolated Snippets
Although these two interpretations may not be contradictory, they do require some balancing and integration. This is a challenge for a computer program and requires a human interpreter to consider multiple factors to determine when and how an individual might exhibit one type of behavior over the other.
However, we must start somewhere, and studying the positions of the planets in the signs appears to be a good starting point in developing our interpretation skills. By mastering the basic relationships in isolation, we lay the foundation for more advanced chart interpretation in the future.
Thousands Of Combinations
The combination of ten planets in twelve signs results in 120 possible combinations. When we factor in the Ascendant, MC, and the Moon’s Nodes, we arrive at a total of 168 combinations. The addition of the twelve Houses increases this number to 2,016. And when we consider the rulership’s’ of the Houses and Signs, this number expands further to 24,192. Additionally, the aspects between these elements must also be taken into account.
