Let me share with you a bit about myself and my background. I was blessed to have been born in the beautiful country of Iran in 1987, a land that is rich in culture, history, and traditions. However, my parents made the difficult decision to immigrate to the United Kingdom when I was still a young child, in search of better opportunities and a brighter future for our family. As such, I was raised in a multicultural environment, where I was exposed to diverse ideas, beliefs, and lifestyles.
My interest in astrology began to blossom in 2013, when I discovered the works of Julius Firmicus Maternus, an ancient astrologer who lived during the 4th century AD. I was captivated by the depth and complexity of his theories, and I became eager to learn more about this fascinating subject. Since then, I have been devoting myself to the study and practice of astrology, constantly seeking to expand my knowledge and deepen my understanding of its principles and techniques.
My passion for astrology has led me to explore the works of many prominent astrologers, past and present. I have spent countless hours poring over books, articles, and online resources, absorbing as much information as I can. My particular focus has been on natal and horary astrology, which involve analyzing the positions and movements of celestial bodies at the time of a person’s birth or a specific question. However, I also incorporate mundane astrology into my daily practice, which involves examining the patterns and trends in the sky that influence world events and collective consciousness.
Aside from astrology, I am also a professional in the field of information technology. I have always been fascinated by computers and technology, and I enjoy using my skills and knowledge to solve problems and create innovative solutions. I find that my work in IT complements my work in astrology, as both require a sharp mind, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze complex systems.
One of the core beliefs that I hold about astrology is that it is the mother of all sciences. I believe that the movements and interactions of the planets and stars are intimately connected to the events and phenomena that we observe on Earth, and that by studying these patterns, we can gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us. As the astrologer Dane Rudhyar once said, “Astrology is a language. If you understand this language, the sky speaks to you.” I have found this to be true in my own practice, as astrology has helped me to uncover hidden truths, reveal new perspectives, and make sense of the mysteries of life.
In the past, calculating a birth chart was a manual process that involved using a protractor and an ephemeris table. However, with the advent of astrology software, it is now possible to generate a complete birth chart in less than a second. To create a birth chart, you need to know the date, time, and location of birth. It’s important to note that birth charts are highly sensitive diagrams that require precise data.
The chart shifts significantly every four minutes, so it’s crucial to have an accurate time of birth. Approximations or estimations can skew the results, so it’s best to double-check the information with a birth certificate, baby book, or parent before calculating.
A tropical natal chart, also known as a Western natal chart, is a type of astrological birth chart that is based on the tropical zodiac. The tropical zodiac is a system that divides the ecliptic (the path of the Sun across the sky) into twelve equal parts, each corresponding to one of the zodiac signs.
In a tropical natal chart, the positions of the Sun, Moon, and planets are plotted in relation to the twelve zodiac signs, as well as the twelve astrological houses (which represent different areas of life). The chart is calculated using the date, time, and location of a person’s birth, and is used to interpret the person’s personality traits, strengths, weaknesses, and potential life experiences.
The tropical natal chart is the most widely used type of astrological birth chart in the Western world, and is the one that most people are familiar with when they think of astrology.
Below is my own natal chart or horoscope.
Tropical astrology and sidereal astrology are two different systems used to calculate the positions of the Sun, Moon, and planets in the sky, and to interpret their influences on human lives. The main difference between the two is the method they use to determine the starting point of the zodiac.
In tropical astrology, the starting point of the zodiac is the vernal equinox, which is the point in the sky where the Sun crosses the celestial equator from south to north. This point is fixed to March 21st each year, and the zodiac signs are determined based on the relative position of the Sun to this point. Therefore, tropical astrology is based on a fixed point in time and is not influenced by the actual position of the stars in the sky.
In sidereal astrology, on the other hand, the starting point of the zodiac is the fixed star Spica in the constellation of Virgo. The sidereal zodiac is based on the actual positions of the stars in the sky, and therefore takes into account the precession of the equinoxes (the slow, cyclical movement of the vernal equinox across the sky over thousands of years). This means that the sidereal zodiac is not fixed to a specific date each year, but rather moves slowly backwards through the zodiac.
As a result, the positions of the planets and other celestial bodies in a sidereal chart can differ significantly from those in a tropical chart. Sidereal astrology is commonly used in Vedic astrology, which is practiced in India and other parts of Asia, while tropical astrology is more commonly used in Western astrology.
